These days I do a lot of remote support. That means fixing a customers computer anywhere they can get internet access. There is a lot of different support software out there and I have been using showmypc for short term work and for long term support Hamachi and UltraVNC. Hamachi now has remote support software that you can install or use remotely. That has really helped me, because the number one problem I was having was helping the customer to use the software to get the connection started. Now I can just do almost everything from my end making it easier for the customer and me.
Most people like the fact that using remote support software they don’t need to take their computer anywhere or have a stranger in there home. If you are trying to support others than check out Hamachi it is a lot cheaper than other remote support software and works very well.
