So you were working or playing away and bumped your coke or water or whatever and now it is on your computer. What do you do? First of all it matters what you spilled, how much, and where it went. If you hit your keyboard, then you can usually give it a cleaning dry it out thoroughly and go on with life. If you spilled it on a laptop and it was not that much water, you need to shut down and make sure your computer is completely dry and you might skate by with it. Soda or liquids with sugar are more electrically conductive than plain water. In that case you need to make sure all the liquid is cleaned out then dry out your computer and hope you didn’t get a short anywhere. The basic steps always apply, shut off the computer make sure things are clean and dry and hope for the best. If things are intermittently not working, or there are strange things happening. Then some part has been damaged and will need to be replaced.
Let me know what you have done for water on your computer.
