I have heard this question many, many times. Since you are reading this you must have had this problem yourself. For most people, they go to add remove programs in Windows XP, or Programs and Features in Vista and select uninstall. Then either nothing happens, the system hangs or you get an error. Any way you slice it it won’t uninstall and you are stuck. What caused this mess? Probably a corruption of the Norton software itself, some damage that now makes it not uninstall. That’s great you’re saying, what do I do about it? Well it turns out that this is such a common problem that Symantec ( company that makes Norton products ) has created a free removal tool just to fix this problem. In fact I recommend starting with the removal tool and saving yourself some frustration. Here is the the link to the Removal Tool. Now it should uninstall perfectly and you can go forward with the project that required the uninstall in the first place.
