I am tired of all the programs out there that sell affiliate marketing as some kind of panacea for all financial trouble. Most of the time they are just lining their own pockets and selling false hope and problems to people who really need help. Working in marketing the websites I design, I decided to investigate this kind of internet marketing and see what I could find out to help people who were asking me about affiliate marketing and pay-per-click marketing. I figured the only way to test some of these programs was to spend some of my money on them and see what they really had to offer. So that is what I did, I tested them out for myself.
First I started by typing in this form of internet marketing into a search engine. I should tell your that most of the sites “reviewing” these programs are affiliate marketers themselves. This doesn’t mean that the information is not valid however, but some are honest giving you real pros and cons and some are trying to make it sound appealing so you will buy. Good judgment on your part is needed to sort them out, just don’t believe everything that you read.
Our main question is, is this a legitimate business that one can make money at? The simple answer is it can be, but many people also lose money at it. It is NOT something that will make you rich quick with no effort, if that is how they are selling it don’t bite.
It is something takes involves a degree of risk and a lot of hard work. If that sounds ok for you, than it can be a source of income for you eventually.
I am not going to post any recommendations for specific affiliate marketing programs right now. If anyone is interested in that post a comment and I will let you know the results of what I found out.
