The internet and social media are a daily reality, the question is how do you keep yourself and your family safe? I have some tips and I would love to hear what works for you as far as protecting your family on the internet.

The first thing I recommend is don’t give out personal information on the internet and train your kids to do the same. Don’t say when you are going to be out of the house, you are asking for someone to come and rob you. Talk to your kids about the real dangers out there today, you can get help to do that with resources like Internet Safety Solutions.
Also use a internet filtering tool like Opendns it is free and let’s you filter by website and category of websites, I use it at home myself. Also just be careful where you click if it seems to good to be true it totally is. If have looked at those adds and they take a lot from you and only give grief.
