AVG Anti-virus and Anti-spyware
One of the best Anti-Virus Programs on the market and an excellent anti-spyware program. Both of these programs are free to home users. This is not a trial edition it is the full program and it is very effective, it just happens to also be free. You can't beat that!
Open Office
A very good office productivity suite it contains a word processor, spreadsheet, database manager, and it also creates pdf documents. I use it give it a try, it is free and very powerful.
